What our customer's say!

"Amazing SOUND!", I'm not a DJ, but I DO LOVE music! These headphones make everything sound better! Sounds that I've never heard in songs are apparent with these! They are extremely comfortable, and that says a lot because I have a small head and it's been difficult to find headphones that I like. Highly recommended!

"Not Only For DJ's and Even For Classical", I bought these headphones for there great specs which they live up to. I listen primarily to classical music, but these are good for Rock and Pop as well. The bass is big, deep, and roomy. Your amplifier doesn't need much power to drive these and you can drive them to deafening loudness levels with no distortion. Even with the remarkable bass there is excellent imaging in the midrange and treble. The bass doesn't overpower the rest of the frequency range. Right now I am on the fence as which I would recommend: these Sony 700's or the Sony 7506's. The 7506's just seem a tad more accurate. If you are into Rock or Pop more and like beefier bass then I would opt for the 700's. I have no long term use with either. So I will defer to others as far as long term durability.

"A Very Satisfied Customer", Forget what you have read, these are the best dj headphones in the market (I should know, i'm a dj). i've had the same pair for two years straight. i'm guessing that the people who say they're flimsy doesn't take care of them. now for the review: they are very comfortable, they're loud (just the way i like it) because of their design, you don't hear the ambient noise at all (love that). if you're a dj, the single cup function is great. now the money maker:the bass, you just don't hear the bass, you feel it, they actually vibrate when the bass kicks in. in my opinion, these are the best headphones EVER!!!

"There are better headphones out there", The first few months of owning these headphones they were great! But after that they decided to blow on me. I never pushed them to the max or anything like that to make them do so, even when playing live. I use the right side for djing while the left side sits on the side of my head most of the time, and of course the right side blew out. Pretty inconvenient. A few of my friends have had the same model and the same problem. And depending on how you wear your headphones as a dj they break at the joints quite easily too. I do admit that the sound quality and look is great, they are pretty uncomfortable and seem to have some problems. I wont buy these ever again. Pioneer and Technics make a much nicer product for just a few dollars more and they are both well worth the money.

"Tested against my friends Bose", I had to buy headphones for three reasons. 1. I live in an apartment that isn't "noise" friendly. 2. I love music and movies 3. I play music professionally and needed some good monitor headphones that sound like live shows (extra bass).

Ok Cons first.
1.Yes they are heavier then most headphones (get over this quickly unless you are old or you have the neck of a 4 year old child).
2. You will look ridiculous in these (unless your ego is as big as mine)
3. Thats all the cons

Now the pros

1. These Headphones kicked the crap out of my friends Bose he left at my house. Ok my friend works for a company I will not tell you (starts with A ends with pple) So he got a discount on the Bose Headphones. I tried them on and was very happy about the acoustic sound and light weight. Yet when the bass came into the song there was none. Bose do not make anything that gets past the mid range and anyone who buys from them knows this (if it doesn't have a sub there is no bass people).

2. When watching movies at home the 1/4 jack packs extra punch. I have a Onkyo receiver hooked up to a 7.1 jbl system usually watching movies from my ps3 through the digital optical port directly into my onkyo. So when action sequences start I want to hear them. These headphones work perfectly and give me the bass that I spent so much money getting and not being able to use at 2 a.m. in the morning. These headphones make the perfect substitute to my terrible hours and need to watch movies late at night.

3. The Price. My friend spent $120 on his and obviously loves them because he left them at my house for over 3 weeks now. I actually got these at B & H photo for $89 and a 2 year warranty for $11 (sorry amazon I still love you). Also now that I have these people that frequently "crash" at my place know to use these and not wake me up in the morning (afternoon).

Overall nothing will ever be perfect and yes they are a bit clunky for the lazy in all of us but the price and sound quality definitely make up the difference.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"excellent quality, but big, heavy and too hot", bought this phone just for casual usage, to listen music and movies at home.

on the plus side, the quality is awesome, excellent bass and good isolation from external noises.

on the minuses, this thing is bulky and super heavy. It causes too much pressure on your head and hurts just a few minutes after putting them on. Also the cups make way too much heat, and you can barely stay with them on after an hour or so.

It may be a good headphone for DJs (that are constantly putting them on and off), but for continuous usage there may be better options.

"The best I've heard!", I just purchased the Sonys and I'm excited to share the experience. First, I've owned several different headphones in past, the last being the Sony MDR-V6. I thought it would be impossible to improve on them...but Sony has done it.

Comfort: The 700s are all-day comfortable. The earcups fit AROUND your ears, so there is no annoying pressure there. The headband is nicely padded too, so you simply forget you're wearing anything at all. They are 'hefty' and robustly constructed, yet that weight simply disappears once you put them on. They're attractively designed, too...with a professional style.

Sound quality: Like I said earlier, Sony has worked magic here. The resolution and detailing these phones provide will have you hearing things "for the first time"...you'll hear things in music you never knew existed. I am pulling things out of my collection and literally enjoying them for the first time. The bass extension is phenomenal...a concert bass drum-smack or pipe organ will have you giggling like a kid! But they don't stop there...the mids and highs are equally well-produced.

The phones are fairly sensitive too...my small headphone amp drives them quite nicely to db levels that doctors would tell you "no-no!!" But they sound so good...you wanna keep cranking the volume!

Sony thoughtfully provided a nice long cord, too...it's coiled so it doesn't get in the way.

Oh, my...the kickdrum in Led Zeppelin's "When the Levee Breaks" just about blew my eyeglasses off! Yeehaw!!

Buy them...you will not regret it!

"over 3 years of use!", I bought these headphones 3 years ago!! I used them quite a lot, and as all the other reviews you can find here, mine broke, yes they did, but looking in the market for other options in the same price range, all I found was that the design of the Sony V700, the sound quality, the durability and the price make them the best option. I just bought my second pair of these and I know the will do the job just good.

"Simply Amazing", I'm a hip hop producer and i ordered these mdr's because i used them once before and i fell absolutely in love with them. And i could never find another pair of headphones there after that really satisfied my needs like the MDR-V700's did. When you put these on it... the only way to describe it is "This Is what music was meant to sound like and what the creator originally intended the listener to perceive" . They can handle low end very very well and the mids and high sparkle like your actually there. sony never fails when it comes to quality and i would give these 6 stars if i could you wont regret your purchase! : D

-Sincerely
Robert
