"remo kids percussion review", Our 2 year old daughter LOVES this drum. (So does our 10 month old son). It's better quality and sound than I expected. It's light enough she can pick it up and move it, and it's not terribly loud. The mallets are perfect for her and seem safe enough if our son gets ahold of one. If we want more drums, we'll get them from remo kids percussion.

"Excellent drum!", My 21 month old son loves this drum! It's sturdy and makes a great sound, not at all like a toy drum. This is a REAL drum. He uses it as a little seat too.

"Watch a 1 year old", This wonderful drum was given by grandparents to their grandson on his 1st birthday. Wow -- the response was instantaneous and robust. Who would have expected that any present would hold attention much longer than 30 seconds, but for well over five minutes the facination rolled on -- for the birthday boy and for his older cousins. Something primal and wonderful about drums, and this one seems to be ideal for the age group.

"One of our favorites", This is one of my kids favorite toys of all time. The drum itself is very durable. Both of my kids have stood on it - and beat it like you wouldn't believe and it still looks brand new (besides the crayon marks all over the top). Last Christmas, I bought my kids many instruments and this is by far one of the best purchases that I made. My now 1-year old son has loved playing with this for the past 6 months. At first, he would only use his hands to beat it and now he uses the mallets. My daughter also loves to play lots of songs for me. Great purchase!

"Great drum", I bought this for my 10 month old. She loves it! It sounds so much better than the toy drums that are out there. I don't mind the banging as a result (it's definitely better than pots and pans)! I don't think it's super loud though but maybe I can tolerate loud noises. Great quality. The mallets are not appropriate for babies b/c there is a twisty wire holding the cover in place which could be taken apart and swallowed, so I did not let my baby use the mallets for now. But she is able to play the drum just fine with her hands.

"Ultimate Stressbuster!!", This drum is sturdy and well built. Two mallets. Drum can take a beating. Great for hand eye coordination for children. For me it is perfect to help release stress. A great way to vent. A place to go to vent.
It will work wonders . Learn how to interpret sound. How to throw sound.
This drum is made for children but adults who want something to strike can use this. It looks and feels to be able to withstand a beating.
Kids will love it. People do gather around when you hit it.
It is very natural for people to gather around the drum.
For parties this drum will always be welcome.

"Make sure to buy earplugs too!", This floor tom tom is big and sturdy, and the drumstick is soft enough that my little friends couldn' really hurt each other when they started beating each other instead of the drum. It's really loud though, so this is a good present for grandparents, aunts, uncles, godparents and other friends to buy for little ones. In other words, give it as a gift, then go HOME TO YOUR HOUSE so the parents get to enjoy the noise and you don't! Hahahaha! Seriously, this is really fun and was a big hit with the kids.

"fabulous drum", This is a fabulous drum! My preschool daughter had happily used the same type of drum in her preschool music class; I was so happy that I was able to get one for her last Christmas. It is well made, cute and colorful, and has a great sound. Fun to play!

"Couldn't be happier with this (after modification)!", Our boy loves music, and he loves to play the drum. As a just-turned-one-year-old, he also loves to climb and generally misuse things. This drum fits the bill on both fronts! The head and other parts are very sturdy, and the mallets are respectable. I will say that the head is a bit "ringy" out of the box, with a not great sound. However, if you tape a bit of gauze under the head (I put half of a standard gauze strip on either side of the head with some masking tape), the sound improves significantly.
