Take my word for it, this five-legged K&M stand is the most stable stored-in-the-bell stand available. The slight additional weight you'll carry around is worth it to have a safer place for your trumpet when not playing. The stands that are more stable than this one are far too large and heavy to carry to rehearsals and gigs.
