"Must Have!", This product really isn't for keeping the sound of the guitar strings. Even with cleaners they will decay in sound. So the review here about how it made no difference in the noise.... NO DUH!

What this does do is keep the strings feeling nice and allows for fast play without issue. One of the biggest advantages is it helps reduce the noise of fingers sliding across the strings.

I first discovered this when I got to work in a real studio for the first time and saw it sitting on a shelf. I asked about it and was told to give it a try and that most every musician there uses it. That night I was sold.
