"Complete Junk", I can't believe anyone gives this guitar more than one star. These pieces of junk offer only low price and nothing else. The neck on mine was twisted in two spots. The thing wouldn't hold a tune. The knobs do very little to affect the sound. The strings are made of some material that is foreign to me, a player of 20 years. The gig bag looks like it was made from a Hefty cinch sack. The amp is about as powerful as a transistor radio. The "guitar" is little more than a toy.

If you're buying this for your kids, please, take my advice, and don't do it. They will get frustrated with this piece of junk soon after picking it up and never touch it again. Many Chinese made guitars are good for beginners. Some are good enough to keep even intermediate players happy. This is not one of them. This "guitar" is good for nothing but firewood.

"Terrible company - subpar product", The good: The guitar looks pretty. Like most, I didn't get the exact color pictured, but I liked it anyway.
The bad: Just after 30 days of ownership (conveniently after the return period), a crack developed in the neck.
The worst: Austin Bazaar is a company that should just plain be put out of business for their poor customer service. When I contacted them to ask about replacement, they referred to the "no returns after 30 days" policy. When I repeatedly tried to email for support on how to go about getting the guitar fixed or asked if it was a normal occurence, my emails went ignored. I tried the customer service phone number and was referred straight to email, couldn't even speak to a human. Way to stand by your product!

If you want an inexpensive instrument, I'd recommend buying a quality used instrument. AVOID AUSTIN BAZAAR!

"NICE LOOK", MY SON LOVES THE GUITAR BUT, HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO PLAY YET BECAUSE EVERYTIME YOU TRY AND TUNE IT, THE STRINGS BREAK, LIKE THE KNOBS ARE SHARP AND ARE CUTTING THE STRING. CAN U ADVISE ME WHAT TO DO?

"Not a Good Guitar", I got this guitar and it worked ok for about 3 months. After 3 months, it wouldn't work when I pluuged it into the amp. I thought that the amp was just broken until my cousin tried his guitar with it and it worked and sounded perfect. I was very dissapointed. Now I am buying a gibson epoch for less the money and it will be a better value I'm sure.

"pretty good beginner guitar", this gutiar was my first one and its pretty good no really good for the price.

pros: plays awesome for a 80 dollar guitar, you can play mostly anything on it, very light which is good for beginners, the tuners and nut hold the tune pretty good

cons: the nut was cracked when i got it but wasnt falling apart, when i put heavier (fatter) strings on the nut cracked and parts fell off but enough didn't fall off to affect the playability, the tuners dont hold the tune very good after about a year of use, the tremolo arm doesnt work very well, the pickup's buzz a lot, when u try to use the bridge pickup alone (with the 5 way pickup selector) it's basically like turning the volume off which is kinda good and bad, the tone knobs dont really work, the amp the comes with is the one in the first picture, not the second one.

all in all its a really good guitar for a beginner but i wouldnt recommend it at all if you're an intermediate or expert player. all the cons are mostly minor problems, this guitar has lasted me 1.5 years so its pretty good.

"well ok i guess", ok i got this one for my friend and the amp didnt work.... so we told the pppl and they sent a new amp.. broken!!!!!!!! i have the Behringer V-tone Electric Guitar Kit and its PERFECT. you may need a new set of strings but its still good! ive had it for 2 years!!!!! worked fine and this didnt work so he got the Behringer V-tone Electric Guitar Kit and now we jam in our band Styx N Stones

"Actual product you receive might be slightly different than pictures shown", I bought this guitar about 2 months ago to learn how to play guitar. Previously I had no idea how to play a guitar. So far I am pretty satisfied with this purchase. Initially the guitar arrived to my home damaged due to it getting damaged during shipping. "Austin Bazaar", the company selling these units offered to replace it free with free shipping; but only after I emailed them detailed pictures of the damage. After the replacement came it has been ok so far.

However here are some key things I can share with someone who is thinking about buying this combo guitar pack:

- The guitar and amp that arrive are actually different than what you see in the picture.

- The guitar looks almost identical to a fender stratocaster except it's missing the fender logo of course. The head's shape (where the machine heads are) is slightly different than a fender's too.

- The guitar is actually more of a teal/blue color. The picture on this website shows a dark metallic blue, but mine is a medium blue, and almost teal colored, which was a little disappointing.

- The brand name displayed on the guitar is "G.Burton". However the first "damaged" version this guitar that I got and returned had the brand "austin bazaar" written on it.

- The blue paint indeed is metallic but mine had some tiny black/purple-ish specs of paint in it. Not sure how they got there but it was there right out of the box.

- The Amp looks different than what is shown in the picture too. The brand is "Eleca" and looks pretty classy and modern. There's some slight buzzing when the volume is turned up very high, but that is expected for a simple beginner combo pack at this price.

- The 5 way switchable tones are nice to have and work pretty well.

- The 2 tone knobs don't really change the tone very much at all, and I couldn't tell any difference in sound when adjusting these knobs.

- It comes with a gig bag but it's a non-padded gig-bag so it's for very casual/basic use only and doesn't offer much protection.

- It came with only 1 pick.

- It came with 1 guitar string. Not a set of 6 strings like the description mentions, but literally just one extra string.

- Also came with a very simple black guitar strap.

Overall there are definitely some short-comings with this combo guitar pack but overall I'm pretty satisfied because the price is pretty reasonable and everything has worked well so far. The main downsides is that the guitar/amp that comes with it might be a little different than what you see in the pictures shown and there aren't some accessories other beginniner packs offer like a tuner or a full set of strings. But for a beginniner it's still a good combo pack to use for learning at a good price.

"A Run for your Buck", This Guitar plays good. The best guitar for learning to play electric since it's much less expensive than Fender and others. I've been playing it for nearly a year and so far no problems with it.

"This Is A Great Guitar And Combo But", This is a great guitar. I knew about the Fender Stratocaster so searched for that in Amazon. Nothing of fender appeared. Though Gibson and this guitar did show up. So at first I thought this was a fender and was so happy. But then I bought it and boom!!! It was not a fender though the stuff worked perfect. I thought this thing would suck because I have no idea what company made it. Though it is great.
