"Pretty fun overall", The mini games are cleaver, not quite one you would see on Wii or game cube.

"Good Mario Party", As complex as this game can be on the regular consoles, they do a good job of making one for the DS. All you need is one game and four people can join in with their DS's. Entertains quietly for hours. The single player, I'll admit was a little hard for me. I still haven't beaten it.

"fun game", This is a very fun game to play either by yourself or with someone else who has a nintendo ds game console. I also have the marioparty 8 which is for the WII console. They are both excellent games. I believe this a game everyone who likes to have fun buy.

"Translates well to DS", Many years ago I played this game on Nintendo 64. When I bought myself a Nintendo DS as a treat, I was happily surprised to learn that they had made an edition of Mario Party for it. And also to my surprise, the game translated beautifully from console to hand-held.

Good:
-Graphics are unbelievably clear and liquid.
-Frequent auto-saves ensure you won't lose your place.
-Mini-games are FUN, I have come across some old favorites.
-Numerous ways to play; from the classic board-game setup to new individual 'puzzle games'.
-Lots of bang for your buck, you won't get bored easily.

Bad:
-One level was incredibly hard to beat and I couldn't go on to the next board game until it was cleared; though I realize this is an issue of skill, it took months!
-I'm on the last board and there are a few of the old mini games that I loved that have yet to appear. Hopefully they just aren't unlocked yet! There's gotta be Hot-Rope-Jump, right?

"great game", Let me first say that I bought this game for my girlfriend and I to play togeather on the DS. It was everything expected out of a mario party game. Lots of Mini games, single wireless card play, just an awesome DS game.

"7 yr old son LOVES it", My 7 yrs old son loves this Nintendo DS game over any of his other games, and he has about 7 others (including MarioKart and DiddyKong Racing). It's definitely a must have.

"Disappointing", This was quite a disappointment. I guess I was hoping for a game similar to Super Mario Bros but this was not even near that. There were many boards where I just had to sit and watch while the game played on it's own (as 3 other players). I got bored with it. I also did not like the mini games very well as some of them it seemed I could not control the results very well.

"Fun, especially with friends", I've played lots of the "main" Mario games, but this is my first time playing a Mario Party. It's great fun! And while most of the other Mario games get kind of lame when you go multiplayer, this one is even MORE fun to play with others, which you can do with just one game card.

Pros: Most of the features are available for DS download play with just one game card. This game is simple enough for kids to grasp, but fun enough for adults to want to finish. The game isn't difficult by any means, so if you want the arcade challenge you get from other Mario games, this probably isn't for you. Still, this gives you a sense of competitiveness absent from other Mario games, even when you're just playing against the computer. It also has great replay value, since it's never quite the same game twice. Several different modes of game play are available so that any player is sure to find one they like.

Cons: It would be nice if there were more boards available, since you get through the five included pretty quickly. That said, you still have to play each one several times before you get tired of it. The puzzles included in "puzzle mode" are also painfully dull and simple, so that mode has little value. Also, if you don't have someone else who has a DS that you can play this with, you'll probably get tired of it more quickly.

Bottom line: Overall, I would recommend this game to anyone of any age, particularly if you have someone you can play it with! My only genuine complaint about the game is that there's not enough of it!

"Just plain FUN", Having played most of the Mario Party line, including the newest on Wii I was excited to play the DS version. It DID NOT disappoint. Even tho i very recently played the newest version, the DS version is a lot of fun. Single Player mode is fun, and gets you used to the minigames. Multiplayer, is ofcourse, what the game is really about. My Wife, who is not usually a big video game fan, couldn't put it down. I strongly suggest this for anyone, but especially people who have friends/family that they can do the multiplayer with.

"Terribly boring", I am a huge fan of the Mario Party games, and this was beyond disappointment. It was boring, over quick, and with only 5 boards to choose from, you get no where fast. Also the other little items and badges you receive, serve no purpose, at least to me. I wish with the advancement of the Nintendo DS, they would come out with more challenging games. Or at least more games for adult children.
